Lynne BroylesLynne Broyles is a former professional performer and entertainer herself, Lynne loves
to develop, mentor and guide the talents of her many students! Lynne studied voice with Elaine Reynolds and Dietrich Erbelding (San Francisco Opera) and Coni Lisec (North Bay Opera) and studied tap, jazz and ballet dance with Mason-Kahn Studio in San Francisco.

For years she participated in community and professional musical theatre, starring in leading roles in: “Peter Pan,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Cabaret,” “Candide,” “Hello Dolly,” “Gigi,” “The Sound of Music,” “The Good Doctor,” “Annie,” “Into the Woods,” “Company,” “Singing in the Rain,” “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying,” to name a few. For her artistic endeavors, Lynne has received many awards. Her favorites include: Who’s Who in Music in her junior year of high school for her classical solo performances and The Arty Award (San Francisco’s Emmy Award) for her role as Sally Bowles in “Cabaret.” She has held the following titles for her academic achievements and talents “Ideal Miss,” “California Miss,” “Our Little Miss,” “Junior Miss.” Lynne was presented the “Outstanding Achievement Award” for her contribution to the arts in Northern California from 1978-1989. This is one of her most cherished honors. Although Lynne spent many years performing, her first love is teaching and directing children. This remains her greatest passion. Lynne has been teaching for over 20 years and is proud to say that many of her students have been quite successful. Some of these successes include: Marcella Brandanini (Young Cosette) in the touring company of “Les Miserable’s;” Courtney Draper, star of Disney Channel’s “The Jersey” and Disney movies “The Duke,” “The Thirteenth Year,” and “Stepsister from Planet Weird,” as well as ABC’s “The Days” (Emma) and “The Bold and The Beautiful.” Heather Paige Kent was cast in “That’s Life,” “Stark Raving Mad,” “The Norms Show” and “Married with Children.” Lynne has brought to the stage over 20 performers to play leading and ensembole roles in the Old Globe’s produciton of the Grinch. This year, Lynne is proud to announnce her student Trevor Lerma was cast as Cindy Lou’s brother Danny in this years 2010 producion of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” And former private voice and Broadway Bound Youth Theatre student, American Idol phenomenon and now Grammy nominee, Adam Lambert, is now well on his way to becoming the next Elvis Presley.

Jacob Hays stars as Sonny on Disney’s “Really Short Report” and he just finished his 29th episode of “Are you smarter than a 5th Grader.” Currently, Jacob just finished filming Disney’s “SAM STEEL AND THE CRYSTAL CHALICE." And more exciting news…Lynne’s student AJ Ditty who earned the role of Young Farnsworth in Aaron Sorkin’s (writer of “A Few Good Men”) new play “The Farnsworth Invention” at The La Jolla Playhouse; is featuring one of the dramatic plays that he has written at NYU this year – wow, what an accomplishment! Lynne would also like to congratulate the following alumni voice and theatre students, who are at NYU for their studies of music, instrumental, acting, play writing and theatre: AJ Ditty, Ben Silbert, Lily Padilla and Ashley Masula. Needless to say, Lynne beams with pride for her students, for their hard work, perseverance and success!

Lynne BroylesPreviously a professional singer/actress/dancer who performed on stage and in television in San Francisco, Los Angeles and throughout the East Coast, Lynne currently resides in San Diego. Although she no longer performs (with the exception of taking the stage as Miss Hannigan at times), she feels it very important to maintain her ties to those she knows in the entertainment business. She has an established working relationship with Joey Paul Jenson, casting director for Disney, Universal Studios and Tri-Star/Columbia Pictures, and through this relationship she is able to conduct professional acting workshops here in San Diego, giving her students invaluable exposure to the television and motion picture industry. She is proud to say that two of her students scouted from one of these workshops were cast as voices on the cartoon “Hey Arnold.” Lynne also retains close ties to talent agencies in San Diego, Los Angeles and New York for actors aspiring to make it professionally on the stage, television or in commercials.

Lynne has produced and directed over 100 musical productions, plays and revues. Just a few of her favorites include: “Annie,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Bugsy Malone,” “Grease,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Les Miserable’s,” “Into The Woods,” “School House Rock,” “Oliver,” “Peter Pan,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Wiz,” “Alice In Wonderland,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “High School Musical,” “Aladdin,” and “Pinocchio.”
